I need a prototype of an aggregated IM-WebMail AJAX web app (see Meebo.com or something like based Gtalkr.com) that can interface with Yahoo Messenger,AOL, Jabber/GTalk/Gmail and MSN/Hotmail.

It needs to

(a) enable simple log-in front-end to IM & Webmail a la meebo.com
(b) enable easy user mapping of outlook/gmail/Y!mail address book to IM buddylist(s)
(c) offer basic IM features derived from Y!,AIM,GTalk,MSN including buddy lists, online/offline status, send/receive and so forth.
(d) efficiently extract individual Instant message log details (To:, From, Time, Date) and store them in a MySQL database (ideally storing conversation threads as well).
(e) efficiently extract individual WebMail log details (To, From, Time, Date, Subject) and store them in a MySQL database.
(f) An icon should be accessible in the windows xp systray.
(g) The code should be well commented so that we can work with it moving forward.

The new code MUST be clean and nice.

some of the sites would be top100 sites that use scripts to monitor traffic in & out. these sites have security such as gateway pages, ip tracking and some others. this script would have to get around those and other measures and successfully deliver hits with specific referrer info or linking code.

ideally it would run on my local pc or if not there on a linux webserver.

the budget set for this is 300-1500. i will pay a bonus if the project is done properly and quickly.

The project must have a clean and professional look about it and is to contain the following:

1. Integrate the use of my vBulletin usergroup permissions. Details of the table needed will be given.

2. Allow a user to create an account and create and edit their own genealogy Family Tree. Set wether or not they wish their tree to be searchable by other members.

3. A search facility with a detailed search script. Searching by firstnames last names etc. The results returned are required to contain limited information with a link to the tree owner to ask questions about that information. This means using either a built in private message system or integration of the vBulletin private message system.

4. As the user adds names dates and photos etc to their tree the information is to be displayed in a certain way. Details of which will be explained.

5. An overall admin account so I can administrate user account etc.

6. Have the feature for a user to upload their gedcom files and have the results displayed in their family tree.

7. It should be made in such a way that any user can create an account and create their tree but contacting another user with reference to a search result is restricted to my vBulletin Premium Member group and not registered users.

Other functionality will be required, more details will be given to the coder.

The script / java applet will show speed test and results and store results in a database for viewing by visitors by UK ISP’s and connection speeds.

WE have to be able to add ISP’s to the database for the user to select including their ADSL Line Speeds.WE also should be able to select the file size to download via an admin area.

the test script must run using javascript / java applet or php not C and pages before the test and results pages in php, we would like all results recorded in a mysql database that can be read from a standard page for visitors.

the admin area will have the ability to delete tests after a certain date.

We would like this so it can be installed on any server / website easily and if needed the full source can be protected via sourceguadian at a later date.

In the original spec, I mentioned the software will get the list of stocks from web site. I presume the software will use the latest list. The problem is sometimes I need to run the software again to calculate indicators for back dates for whatever reasons. The software can either picks the right list or accepts the list from command-line.

The needed page is loaded in the app’s browser window and you configure the needed settings in it and start.
Then the tuned quantity of http clients runs in separated threads. Each of those clients continuously refreshes and parses the needed page.
When the needed item was found, the respective page is reflected in the browser window of the app. Thus you can see the actual page as it is in the browser.

Prototype would deliver a periodic download of my call log and voicemail log information - not actual calls, just call events in/out, vm’s in - with each event providing detail on the phone number, addressbook name (if available), date, time of day and duration of my call activity. Data would be downloaded to a MySQL database so I can use in a Mobile and/or Desktop UI.

I need the basic functionality of an already existing website called "openBC.com", which is comparable (but more professional) to HI5.com and Friendster.com:

1. A homepage with information, what the website is all about. Should be editable through a simple administrative backend.

2. Create/Sign-up for a new account.

3. Login to personal account, first page after login: homepage showing news, latest users that signed up, 2nd degree contacts - just as in openBC.

4. See a couple of statistics on the homepage (some can be seen by users, some only by admins as on openBC).

5. Edit personal data (upload picture!).

6. Be able to add contacts when running across their profile or by searching for them, as in openBC.com.

7. Search for other members by name, branch, company, country, interests etc. (as in openBC.com).

8. See who looked at my profile within the last 7 days, see who signed up last, etc. - basically the stats that openBC also has.

9. See who knows whom - visually as in openBC, Hi5 and Friendster.

10. Send and receive messages to/from other members.

11. The layout should be functional and easy to customize by our graphic designers - a templating system is a must.

12. Language: Java, Database: Oracle, Used framework, preferred: Tapestry, alternatively: Struts (v1.2) or Spring

13. Preferrebly a Portlet-based approach (such as Liferay.com) should be used so we can easily extend the functionality

14. The system should be customizable, meaning: I would like to specify which group of users (paying, not paying; payment mechanisms will come later, but the system should be ready for usergroups) can use which functionality (ex: only paying members should be able to send and receive messages). This should be customizable by the administrator in the backend. Basically all operations/functionalities/actions on the website should reside in the database and a check should be run if the currently logged in user can perform this action.

15. There should also be administrative frontends for all functionalities, such as editing the news on the frontpage (before login), the news on the homepage (after login), the member details etc.. An integrated CMS (a very basic one) is a must.

16. I would also like to know how the process goes. Do I get to see the progress by installing your latest "achievements" periodically so I can evaluate it and give you feedback or do only I get a finished product at the end?

17. Please include your perception of the project’s description in your bid so I can see if we’re talking about the same functionality.

I do NOT need the webdesign, I only need the programming as I have my own webdesigner!
The programming artifact should be a WAR-file that I can deploy into my Tomcat. All visual artifacts (JSP-pages etc.) should be template based. NO hard-coded Java into JSP-pages. Please use Tapestry (preferred) or Struts. The code MUST be very clean and adhere to the latest programming standards. Documented code is a MUST!

found free software to do just this, so itd just have to be integrated
(I have the JavaScript file and installation instructions from the programmer
to integrate this with the web analysis system)

5) Advertising: Along
with dynamically served content, wed like the
ability to dynamically serve advertising, and track click-throughs on
the advertisements.
6) Interactive
Star/GraphicalRating System: users can rate articles, etc. and the ratings are stored and updated
dynamically. Id like to use
the Netflix style of rating, which is fast and intuitive.

a. The rating system
wouldn’t cause the page to reload to send the rating to the server and
get the updated "result", using AJAX on the
back end. So wed need a dynamic web backend to capture the the
ratings, store them and transmit the updated rating.
b. Ive found a site that has the CSS script for the graphical side
of it, so wed need to implement that and interface with it for the

c. Ability to display articles (or links to articles) based on popularity,
highest rank, etc.

7) Hosting: Looking to have this hosted with LivingDot, but also possibly
purchase a MT license and host this on our own server. LivingDot provides MySQL
databases and MovableType installed as part of their hosting package.
Front End Integration: We will be providing the design and fully cut and
coded HTML pages for the front end of the site. I will be working with the
programmer to facilitate integration of the front and back ends, as well as
learning to manage the different tools described above developed/integrated
by the programmer.
Whatever we do, it would need to be Scalable and Portable, so that we can
move as it grows onto our own server, and eventually onto multiple
servers if necessary
for load balancing.

Furthermore, the entire system needs to be duplicable, as were looking
to actually build two distinct sites that will utilize the identical functionality,
but which will have a different aesthetic appearance on the front-end, as well
as different content within. (these need to be able to be managed separately).
And there is the potential that we would want to replicate the entire system
an indefinite number of times.

Since were just starting this up, there are no real limits as to what
can and cant be used as far as programming language, so whatever is
easiest/most cost effective would be fine.
